Meaning Brick, in Italian, the Mattone is SILCA’s award winning seat bag powered by the Boa Closure System.

With the new Mattone Grande, we have now created a ‘bigger brick’ with 77 cubic centimeters of internal volume more than 2x the volume of the original Mattone (36 cubic centimeters). The Mattone Grande is capable of holding up to 3 road tubes along with 2 CO2 cartridges, 2 tire levers and a multi-tool.  It can also easily hold up to two 29×2.5 MTB tubes along with CO2, levers and Multi-tool, the Mattone Grande is ideal for those long adventure rides or races where you must be prepared for everything.

Why We Designed It:

This smaller version of our essentials case features two internal pockets for smaller items like keys, credit cards, or a multi-tool while the main compartment is left open for larger items like CO2 cartridges, tire levers, an inflator or a cell phone. A highly water-resistant AquaGuard zipper from YKK completes the bag’s construction and ensures that your essentials remain protected from the elements. BORSA Minimo measures 15.5cm x 9cm x 2cm which makes it 2cm shorter than the standard BORSA Americano. The smaller version of our essentials case makes it more ideal for storing in smaller pockets such as a commuter jacket pocket, a rear pants pocket, and race cut jersey pockets which tend to be slightly smaller than some. Cyclists with plus-sized phones are advised to consider the standard BORSA Americano over the Minimo.
