Parts covered by SILCA Limited Warranty are considered to be subject to wear through normal use or are consumable subject to degradation through the course of their daily use.  SILCA guarantees them free from manufacturer defects for 2 years.

SILCA NASTRO PILOTI is a 1.85mm thick tape for aggressive riding and racing which provides cushioning equivalent to 2.5mm thick tapes of existing technology. The Asymmetric PILOTI Texture inspired by F1 tire technology allows the tape to be wrapped in either a moderate texture or high texture format depending on preference.

Why We Designed It:

The resulting tape has a softer, more comfortable feel, higher wet and dry grip, better vibration isolation, and 3-5x the durability of existing tape materials. Since the actual wrap of the tape can be as important as the tape itself, we’ve also developed a full adhesive backed ‘butterfly’ to better cover the back of the lever clamp area without adding bulk, a high grip finishing tape and expanding aluminum/composite end plugs to ensure every detail is perfect.

How does it work?
When you purchase your new SILCA Bar Tape you are automatically enrolling yourself into the program.  If purchased at a retailer, your program is only valid at THAT retailer with proof of purchase.

Price
NASTRO Bar Tape retails at $50usd. In the unfortunate event that a crash happens, and replacement of bar tape is needed, the customer will receive a $15 discount ($35 purchase) for any color variant of the respective bar tape that was purchased (subject to availability).

Please keep the purchase information of your Bar Tape.  If you bought online, please send pictures of the bar tape to sales@silca.cc.  If bought at one of our many retailers, please bring the bike to the shop for replacement.

WHY
At SILCA, one of our strongest beliefs is in the protection in your investment and more importantly, in the protection of yourself.  Bar Tape should be replaced at least every year for the best performance and for safety checks of corrosion on aluminum bars or damage to carbon bars.  We want to make sure that you are covered by providing the first crash replacement program for bar tape.
