Tubeless Ready (TLR) weith Nylon-Superlight-Carcass

  • The nylon mesh is dipped into a bath of butyl rubber and then calendered (squeezed) between large steel rollers to produce the finished carcass. In bicycle tyres, nylon offers a first-class cost-benefit ratio due to its low price and comparatively simple processing.
  • Perfectly suited for use with tubeless systems: No hose, strong puncture protection and high efficiency.

Vulcanized synthetic rubber

  • In order to combine long service life with good driving characteristics, synthetic rubber is boiled and hardened. The result is Challenge’s Vulcanized Clincher: easy-running tires with high grip and good comfort at an affordable price.

With Puncture Protection Strip (PPS), which is an extra layer of highly resistant material between the casing and the tire to reduce the risk of punctures.

Open tubular tires mount like a standard clincher and are made using the same process as regular tubular tires, but instead of sewing the casing together, the sides of the tubular casing are folded around aramid fiber cords to produce the beads. The result is a tire that maintains most of the suppleness and ride quality gained from a tubular to offer excellent traction and cornering grip, low rolling resistance and shock absorption.
